My name is Dan Carroll and I am the Owner/Chef of Shore Fresh Meal Prep. I have been in the kitchen since I was 12 years old washing dishes at the Elks Lodge. I studied Culinary Arts & Hotel Restaurant Management and eventually worked for some of the top private country clubs in New Jersey.
In 2016, I was faced with one of the most terrifying moments of my life--I underwent quintuple bypass heart surgery. That’s when my fitness journey began. I have always had a passion for food and helping others reach their goals and with Shore Fresh Meal Prep I am able to do just that. Today, I am able to help people accomplish their fitness goals by eating healthy and delicious meals.
Recently, Shore Fresh Meal Prep conducted a life skills cooking class at the Discovery Institute in Marlboro, NJ, to assist those suffering from substance use disorder. Learning how to prepare healthy yet inexpensive food is an important skill for the clients upon their release from treatment. It's work I hope to continue to do.
