Meet The Chef
My name is Dan Carroll, and I am the Owner/Chef of Shore Fresh Meal Prep. I have been in the kitchen since I was 12 years old, washing dishes at the Elks Lodge. After studying Culinary Arts and Hotel Restaurant Management, I had the opportunity to work for some of the top private country clubs in New Jersey.
In 2016, I faced one of the most terrifying moments of my life when I underwent quintuple bypass heart surgery. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of my fitness journey. I have always had a passion for food and helping others achieve their goals, and with Shore Fresh Meal Prep, I can do just that. Today, my focus is on providing healthy meals that enable people to accomplish their fitness objectives while enjoying delicious food.
Recently, Shore Fresh Meal Prep conducted a life skills cooking class at the Discovery Institute in Marlboro, NJ, designed to assist those recovering from substance use disorder. Learning how to prepare healthy yet inexpensive meals is a vital skill for clients upon their release from treatment. It’s important work that I hope to continue through our meal delivery service.
